Ogeechee Technical College FBLA Chapter Earns National Recognition

Ogeechee Technical College’s FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Collegiate chapter achieved outstanding results at the FBLA National Leadership Conference held June 24-27, 2024, in Orlando, FL. The chapter was honored with a prestigious 5th place finish in the nation for the Outstanding Chapter award.
This distinguished award recognizes FBLA chapters that demonstrate exceptional commitment to the organization's mission throughout the academic year. Fulfilling a comprehensive list of tasks throughout the year is required to be considered for the award.
Michael Twisdale, Business Technology Instructor and FLBA Collegiate Faculty Advisory, accompanied students Rebecca Meredith and Brittany Meadows to the conference. Twisdale also represented the state of Georgia in the Parade of States during the opening ceremony as the state's Adviser of the Year.
Adding to the chapter's success, Meredith placed 3rd nationally in the Computer Concepts category, showcasing her exceptional skills in both computer applications and objective testing.
“Both Rebecca and Brittany competed in the State of the Chapter presentation and placed 11th overall in the nation. Congratulations to the both of them for the hard work they put into both creating and delivering the presentation,” said Twisdale.
The event provided valuable learning opportunities for all attendees, featuring workshops on a variety of business-related topics.
