Anne Johnson Named Inaugural Student Impact Award Winner

Ogeechee Technical College is proud to recognize Anne Johnson, Student Success Coach, as the college’s first-ever recipient of the Student Impact Award. Presented annually by the Technical College System of Georgia, this award honors one staff member from each institution who demonstrates exceptional commitment to student-centered service, innovation, and measurable impact.
Since joining OTC two and half years ago, Johnson has transformed the student experience through her calm, consistent presence and creative, solution-focused approach. She is known for building strong relationships with students and colleagues alike, offering support that is both compassionate and effective.
“Anne embodies the heart of student-centered service,” said Christy Rikard, Vice President for Student Affairs. “Her work is grounded in a deep commitment to seeing students succeed and a collaborative spirit that strengthens partnerships across campus. Her dedication has made a lasting impact on both students and colleagues, making her a natural choice for the 2025 OTC Student Impact Award.”
In addition to her work at OTC, Johnson brings over a decade of experience in student services, case management, and higher education leadership. She holds degrees from Georgia Southern University and Capella University and has served in key roles at Georgia Southern and DFCS.
