Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) at Ogeechee Technical College recently partnered with the American Red Cross of Southeast and Coastal Georgia to hold the second blood drive of 2024 on OTC’s campus.

The Red Cross set up in the Oak Room of the Jack Hill Building from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12 and collected 23 units of blood.

FBLA sponsored the blood drive and there were additional volunteers from the Fish & Wildlife program, Out to Conquer gaming club, Student Leadership Council (SLC), and Student Chapter National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (SCNAVTA).

To date, OTC has hosted a total of 54 drives, collected 1,736 units, and had 2,019 total donors.

“We are grateful for every person who donates at the OTC drives. It really makes a positive impact on our community,” said Beckie Snyder, Administrative Assistant for AVPSA.

Ogeechee on the Go is the name of Ogeechee Technical College’s community service initiative. OTC students and employees routinely participate in projects designed to support worthwhile causes within the community.
