Meet the Faculty
Anita Brown studied massage therapy in California and North Carolina, and has been a Licensed Massage Therapist in Statesboro since 2004. She has over 10,000 hours of hands on experience. During her career, she has worked in her own private practice, in salons, in a spa, and at Georgia Southern University’s RAC facility. In 2014, she graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University. She joined Ogeechee Technical College in 2014 to launch the Neuromuscular Massage Therapy program. Anita brings years of passion and excitement for the field of massage and bodywork to her teaching. She lives in Statesboro with her husband and two sons.
Upon successful completion of the Neuromuscular Massage Therapy diploma program, students will be able to sit for the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx) and apply for licensure through the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy.
Programs of Study
The purpose of the Ogeechee Tech Neuromuscular Massage Therapist program is to provide learning opportunities for students to develop the academic and professional knowledge and skills necessary to pass the state approved licensing examination and to succeed in the field of massage therapy.
